Making the Syrup: Combine every ingredients in a pot, bring to a simmer, mixing so the sugar melts. Then, take off the heat and leave to cool fully. Decant to a sealable bottle, cap it keeping it in the refrigerator, it will last for around a month.
For the Premix: Mix all the liquid ingredients into one big jug, leave to sit for one hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Measure 85ml from the cocktail base into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for a minute to chill. Filter to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
